Yes I've taken a blog break.
One might think, your child is away at school and you must be feeing the "empty nest syndrome".
Not so, as many things dwell in the invisible.
I found my forgotten youtube channel!
I haven't posted in 15 years. Right now blogger is working for me and I'll begin working on youtube over New Year's holiday.
I am working with a beginner mind (shoshin) and starting fresh with my inner most self .
Keeping warm as our cat sits on my lap or maybe I'm keeping the cat warm.
Well if you don't get started it will never get done.
I am soooo grateful that Morgan graduated college with high honors-proof that you can send a child away and still achieve a 3.9
I am grateful that she was accepted to one of the best engineering architecture schools in Milan Italy for the masters program.
What have I've been doing?
I mediate to wake up from drama, politics, war, etc.
I use Transcendental Meditation (visit https://www.tm.org for more information) 2x a day for 20 minutes and a three minute cool down.
My increased focus and stress reduction is the reason why I meditate, it is a gift I give to myself.
I have started Duolingo, I began with Spanish I'm now toying with the idea of Italian.
What else have I been doing?
Walking, not hiking just walking along a flat path by the bay. Not one hour walks 30ish minutes of looking at nature and the miracle of life.
Actually I should get on my stay put exercise bike since I didn't get to walk outside due to blogging.
Reminding myself that kindness goes a long way, it gives people a reason to believe goodness still exists.
I remember to be kind to myself, take a break when I'm tired that doing nothing is doing something, forgive myself when I make a mistake, watch a funny movie when I'm feeling low.
As 2025 ends I'm looking forward to 2026 with people working together, helping one another, staying in Faith and away from Fear.
